This rat job we suspected they were entering from the sewers, so we fitted one-way rat flaps to prevent them from re-entering the properties.

Rats can enter properties through the sewer system, traveling up drainpipes and into toilets or internal plumbing in search of food and shelter. They are strong swimmers and can navigate through water traps with ease.

One-way rat flaps are devices fitted inside sewer pipes that allow wastewater to flow out but prevent rats from moving upstream. The flap closes automatically after the flow stops, blocking rats from climbing up through the drainage system and entering buildings.
