First call of the day was for mice. No obvious entry points were visible, so we applied tracking dust to help identify where they’re gaining access.
Tracking dust is a fine powder used to detect and monitor mouse activity. When applied along runways, wall edges, or entry points, the dust sticks to the rodents’ feet and fur. As they move, they leave visible footprints and smudge marks, revealing their travel paths and nesting areas.
A UV (ultraviolet) or black light is often used to make these tracks easier to see, especially if the tracking dust is fluorescent. Under the UV light, the dust glows brightly, allowing us to identify movement patterns, confirm infestations, and target control measures more accurately.
No matter how sneaky the pests are, we’ve got the tools and know-how to track them down and keep them out!
